Malnutrition is responsible for nearly HALF of all childhood deaths around the world – more deaths than HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB combined. And yet only a tiny fraction of the funding for global health programs goes to the proven, life-saving nutrition programs that children need.
This is a horrible injustice. And babies, young children and families are paying the price with their lives.
Malnutrition is a hidden, silent killer affecting the world’s youngest, most vulnerable children. Each year more than 3 million children die needlessly from malnutrition, and those that do survive are often physically and developmentally stunted, an irreversible condition that limits a child’s ability to grow, learn and thrive.
This no longer needs to be the reality for millions of children. Malnutrition is entirely preventable. We have the solutions. We know which programs are proven to work. But what is missing is the funding.
We must direct our investments to where they are needed most and where they can have the greatest impact in saving young lives. World leaders have the power to prioritize funding for nutrition programs, but they need to hear from us.
Tell world leaders that we can save millions of children's lives by investing more in global nutrition.
The time is NOW for world leaders to commit to ending malnutrition.
Add your name to tell world leaders that you’re serious about ending malnutrition and they should be too!
